The Premier’s Discovery Awards (PDA) program celebrates the research excellence of Ontario’s finest senior researchers. By showcasing individual achievements, it aims to enhance Ontario’s attractiveness as a global research centre.
The PDA program consists of four annual awards for excellence in research for either a single discovery or a body of work. The awards include Life Sciences and Medicine ($500,000), Natural Sciences and Engineering ($500,000), Social Sciences and Humanities ($250,000) and Innovation Leadership ($250,000).
The Discovery Awards have been discontinued for 2011.
